"I believe this organization is truly a tremendous value to our community and is one of the only non-profits in Gila County that helps families in transition. This organization literally change people’s lives.

I am excited to be a part of the Gila House and believe in their mission to help the community. Being a part of a team that helps support people during rough patches in their life’s journey has always been a passion of mine and I’m looking forward to serving Globe and the surrounding areas.
"Being on the Gila House Board of Directors is important to me because I can advocate for those that have lost their voice and need that escape from a violent partner. Life should be enjoyed not feared.
I am excited to talk about and inform people that these resources are right here in our own neighborhood if needed. That people have a safe alternative to shelter in.
My participation will help those in need now or in the future by making sure we are thinking ahead and looking out for these particular situation with a open mind and heart. Know we can provide a quality service during someone’s most difficult time. "
"I was honored to have been asked to serve on the Gila House, Inc. Board of Directors. As a relatively new resident of Globe (since July 2020), I'm excited to have this opportunity to be involved in helping to provide assistance to residents of our community who are struggling with difficult circumstances. I also see this as an opportunity to become more familiar with our community through the knowledge and experiences of the other Board members who have lived in Globe much longer than I have.
The individuals and families that Gila House, Inc. serves are going through a very difficult and painful time in their lives. I've spent much of my time in ministry dealing with people in similar situations and I'm excited about being able to use my experiences, gifts, and abilities to serve in this new environment.
I believe that my background and experiences in Christian ministry, Native American ministry, architecture, and the business world will enable me to connect with, and assist with, the various services that Gila House, Inc. provides and offer some additional perspectives that may be helpful."
" Being on the board of the Gila House gives me a better insight on community needs versus that only of a Law Enforcement perspective. This is an opportunity to collaborate with others to provide essential needs in the community for those who have suffered catastrophic loss and are in need of housing.
As a new member of the board I first want to learn what the board has done, both positive an negative in the past. Learn and contribute moving forward in a positive way.
My participation will allow for more outreach in the community to let them know what Gila House is all about. Work with local groups, government to spread the word and share some of the outcomes that Gila House as been instrumental in assisting local families. Reach out to other groups, Law Enforcement, Government to share information on their social media platforms on what the Gila House is and is doing for the community."
"Being on the Gila House board of directors allows me to be part of an organization that assists members of our community. This organization is designed to help people get back on their feet and rebuild their lives when a crisis emerges in life. Being able to serve on this board resonates strongly with me as someone who has experienced domestic violence and can relate to the struggles involved in getting back on your feet.
It is important for anyone experiencing domestic violence to know they are not alone. There is a safe place to turn to without judgment. A safe place that will help to give a hand up and help you to find your inner strength. Together we can help strengthen our community. I feel that if we can provide a safe home for families to turn to in their time of need, it eliminates one obstacle, to allow them to focus on rebuilding. I feel that we can assist with giving people a solid foundation to begin again. I look forward to seeing the growth of this organization and I'm proud to be a part of it."
"As someone born and raised in this community and now raising my own family here, I’m honored to serve on the board of Gila House. Being part of this organization allows me to give back to the community I love by supporting individuals and families during times of crisis, whether they’re facing the devastation of losing a home or seeking a safe place from domestic violence. I deeply appreciate the way Gila House brings together community members from various backgrounds to collaborate and find solutions to some of our most pressing challenges. As Mother Teresa said, 'You can do things I cannot do; I can do things you cannot do; together, we can do great things.' This quote truly reflects the spirit of Gila House, where we’re stronger together in serving our community."
"I am honored and thrilled to have the opportunity to serve our community as a Gila House Inc board member … helping others helps me.
Life can take unexpected twists …sometimes our whole world gets turned upside down and all too often our elderly are forgotten. Having a place to turn is crucial. Gila House, Inc. helps mothers and their babies get safe, rest and look forward to new starts, offers families who have lost everything a glimmer of hope and makes life a little easier for seniors.
If ever I believed in something, something everyone should support this is it and I will wholeheartedly support and advocate for Gila House Inc."
"As the Executive Director (commencing in 2013), my role is to manage all facets of this 501(c)(3) corporation’s operation and to provide the details necessary for the Gila House, Inc. Board of Directors to make informed decisions. I am honored to be a part of Gila House, Inc., as we continue to supply unparalleled services to the Copper Corridor for transitional housing, by providing resources to less fortunate families experiencing life-changing distress and hardships. Most recently, this endeavor has adopted an aggressive strategy focused on innovation and opportunities to increase our presence and the resources we offer.
In May of 2018, we (Gila House, Inc.) established the Gila Safe Haven Domestic Violence Home to:
· Promote the equity of treatment;
· Provide a safe and secure environment and;
· Create a comprehensive, yet sustainable life balance for survivors and their children of domestic and sexual abuse.
I am extremely grateful for our grant foundations, corporations, government agencies and private donors. Without these partnerships, Gila House Inc., including the Gila Safe Haven Domestic Violence Home, would not exist. I am pleased to be a part of:
· Such a meaningful endeavor;
· A Cohesive collaboration and;
· A team of selfless colleagues consistently demonstrating both compassion and heart."
